How to use a diesel generator

一： Inspection before Startup

1. Clear the Diesel Generator Set and any debris around it.

2. Check the Engine oil in the oil pan of the generator set to ensure that the oil level is in the middle of the upper and lower marks on the dipstick.

3. Check the coolant. If it is insufficient, add it up.

4. Fill up with diesel

二 :Starting

Only after the preparatory work before starting is completed and confirmed to meet the requirements can the engine be started.

1.Turn the circuit key switch clockwise and press the start button.

2. Each start-up time should not exceed 10 seconds to protect the starter generator and battery. If continuous starting is required, it should be stopped for 2 minutes before starting again. If it fails to start for three consecutive times, the cause should be identified and the fault eliminated before starting again.

3.After the engine starts, turn the circuit key switch counterclockwise to the charging position.

4. Check the oil pressure immediately after starting. When idling, the oil pressure must not be lower than 0.1Mpa.

5. After the engine runs smoothly, gradually and steadily increase the fuel supply until the rated voltage is reached. Then, lock the throttle regulator to prevent vibration during equipment operation, which may cause unstable fuel supply and voltage fluctuations. (Engines with electronic speed regulation do not require operation.)

6. After the voltage reaches the working

三：Inspection of Equipment Operating Status

1.During the operation of the engine, it is necessary to constantly check the oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, charging current and generator voltage. Also, pay attention to observing the color of the exhaust smoke and listening to the internal sounds. If overheating, black smoke, knocking sounds or other abnormal phenomena are found, the machine should be stopped in time for inspection and elimination. The engine must not be operated with faults to prevent damage to its components.

2. When the engine is running, one should constantly pay attention to the operation conditions of the oil and water connection points. If any leakage is found, it should be eliminated in time.

3. Once the engine experiences runaway, it should be shut down immediately. If the shutdown fails, the air intake can be blocked to stop the engine from running. Various temperature and pressure regulations: Engine oil temperature ≤95℃, cooling water outlet temperature ≤90℃, engine oil pressure 0.3-0.5Mpa, 0.1≥Mpa at idle speed

四：Shutdown

Before shutting down, the load should be removed first and the speed gradually reduced to idle. When the water temperature drops below 70℃, place the switch key in the stop position and close the damper until the diesel engine stops running.
